많은 한국 사람들은 신중한 활동 재개를 한국의 지속적인 바이러스 퇴치 성공에 대한 보상으로 여기고 있습니다.

이에 동해 해수욕장이 개장하자 마자 인파가 몰리고 있다는 소식입니다.

다수의 한국인 들은 주로 7월 말부터 8월초의 짧은 기간동은 해외 휴가를 즐겼으나, 금년에는 바이러스 확산 방지를 위해 집에서 가까운 장소로 휴가지를 가거나, 성수기를 피해 분산해서 휴가를 보내려고 생각하고 있습니다.

부산과 같은 해안가 관광지는 여름 시즌 의존도가 높은데요, 세계적인 팬데믹으로 인해 줄어든 외국인 관광객을 한국 사람들이 채우고 있는 것입니다.

한국, 부산 해수욕장 개장에 인피 북적

 

The beaches in Busan are officilaly open and people are flocking to them.

부산 해수욕장이 공식적으로 개장하면서 인파가 몰리고 있습니다.

South Koreans are among the world's top spenders on overseas travel, but most this summer are looking to vacation a lot closer to home, still following strict rules to preven the spread of Covid-19.

한국 사람들은 해외 여행에 있어 큰 손에 속하는데요, 금년에는 대부분 집에서 가까운 곳에서 휴가를 보내려고 생각하고 있으며, 여전히 코로나바이러스 확산 예방를 위한 엄격한 규칙을 따르고 있습니다.

Beach umbrellas are individually numbered so people hiring them can be traced, in case they were closed to someone found later to be infected.

파라솔에는 개별 번호가 매겨져 있는데요, 빌린 사람의 신원을 확인하기 위해서 입니다. 나중에 감염자가 주변에 있었을 경우를 대비해서입니다.

But for the Lee family, this summer vacation is a new experience.

그러나 이씨 가족의 경우 금년 여름 휴가는 이전과는 다릅니다.

We often go abroad in summer, but we cann't do that this time. So we decided on Busan.

저희 가족은 여름 휴가를 주로 해외로 가는데요, 금년에는 그럴수 없어서 부산으로 정했습니다.

They've also decided to come earlier than normal.

또한 평소보다 이른 시기를 골랐습니다.

A majority of people in South Korea take their summer vacations in a narrow window from late July into eraly August.

대부분의 한국 사람들은 7월 말부터 8월초까지 짧은 시기에 여름 휴가를 갑니다.

But companies are now encouraged to spread holidays out to avoid overcrowding in the most popular tourist destinations.

그렇지만 기업들은 인파가 들끓는 관광 명소의 과밀현상을 피하기 위해 휴가를 분산하라고 권고 받고 있습니다.

Busan relies heavily on its summer season, and local people are compensating for the lack of international visitors, especially from neighboring China and Japan.

부산은 여름 시즌 의존도가 높습니다. 특히 중국과 일본 관광객이 줄었는데요, 이 외국인 관광객 감소를 한국인들로 채우고 있습니다. 

Life is still far from normal.

삶은 여전히 정상과는 거리가 멉니다.

But many here see careful further reopenings a reward for South Korea's steady progress against the virus.
